CMS GeoScience owns and operates a wide range of geotechnical equipment along with its own 24m UK MCGA Certified & Cowrie compliant survey vessel, providing specialist geotechnical seabed sampling services and marine geotechnical surveys & support to the marine industry. Working with and supporting both end client & survey companies operating in the oil & gas market, offshore energy, civil engineers, aggregates & marine mineral mining as well as ports & harbour maintenance and development

 

Geotechnical Equipment Hire: 

 

CMS GeoScience has a wide variety of geotechnical marine equipment available to hire for seabed sampling & marine geotechnical surveys.  All of our equipment is ready to be deployed around the world along with our experienced geotechnical operators. Our equipment pool includes Standard & High Powered Vibrocorers, Datem 5000 CPT, USNEL Box Corer, Hydraulic Clamshell Grab, Gravity & Piston Corers, Standard & Mini Hamon Grabs, Single & Double Van Veen and Day Grabs & CEFAS type Beam Trawls. 

 

 

GeoScience Consultancy

 

With over 25 years experience of working within the marine survey industry Managing Director of CMS GeoScience Dr David Hitchcock is well placed to provide specialist bespoke consultancy advice to a variety of sectors 

 

David has run his own marine survey company for nearly 30 years during which time he also worked with the US government in an advisory capacity on the environmental effects of dredging. He has a PhD in marine geology and has worked extensively within the marine aggregates and marine mineral mining industry. 

 

David can advise and work with marine survey site investigation planning, geotechnical & geophysical interpretation, geohazard analysis, seabed processes & sedimentology, dredging performance parameters & determination of geotechnical hazards.
